IR (A)
Training for the next qualification IR(A) Instrument Rating (Aeroplane), begins with the theoretical course, which covers all the necessary skills and knowledge any captain of an aircraft must master and use while executing an instrument related flight meeting the Instrument Flight Rules.
In accordance with the European standards and regulations a training program for the IR(A) covers subjects including aviation law, together with air traffic control procedures, aircraft general knowledge, IFR flight planning, performance and monitoring, meteorology, navigation, operational procedures, capabilities and limitations of the human body and many other that are essential while executing anIFR flight.
Our school offers the theoretical IR(A) training in Polish and in English, based on a program that has been approved by the President of The CAO Civil Aviation Office ,in accordance with the Ventum Air’s ATO certificate. The program consists of 170 hours of self-study, coordinated through our e-learning platform, and 30 hours of lectures conducted during one four-day session on the premises of our school. The training lasts six weeks and it covers eight subjects, according the FCL. Applicants must hold a valid PPL(A).
The e-learning platform has been fully integrated into the training program at the ATO Ventum Air. It offers more than 1200 pages of learning materials and aids in a form of PDF presentations, over 700 pages of additional materials, as well as a bank of 700 exam questions, together with the correct answers.
At the end of the theoretical training, students sit an internal exam. Those who pass it will receive a certificate, on the basis of which, they will be admitted to the practical part of the training. This certificate is recognized by all the members of The JAA Joint Aviation Authorities.
